校前身早是1963年由華僑管理委員會為澳大利亞、馬來西亞、印度尼西亞等9個東南亞國家歸國華僑創

辦的武僑高中接收高中入學，孕育出僑鄉學子的本科生

1990年12月經廣西自治區政府批準成立的南寧華僑投資區,該校改稱如今的校名南寧華僑中學，被廣西壯族自治區評為普通高級一級學校連年獲得殊榮：1990、1991、1993年分別獲得市級一等獎，1995、1996年分別獲得市級二、三等獎，1992、1994、1997、1998年依次獲得區級一、二、三、二等獎

二十一世紀

南寧華僑中學-NanningChinesemiddleschool（又稱南寧華僑投資區華僑中學）

2005年成為國務院僑辦重點聯系單位，2013年政府加大對該校的資金投入（預計投入3000萬元），新建設綜合教學樓、科技實驗樓、宿舍樓、室內球館、運動場等教學設施不斷完善，提升校園環境

設施升級。

本區是廣西首個實行十五年免費教育的地區，在該校就讀課享受初中、高中免費教育政府出資

學校師資力量較強，在職的115名教師中有廣西21世紀園丁工程A類培養對象12人、南寧市教學骨干8人，國家級骨干教師教師培養對象1人，研究生2人，博士1人，其中專任教師97人（高中部46人，初中部53人），具有本科學歷占96.6%，中級職稱以上占93.60%，畢業于廣西大學、廣西師范大學、廣西師范學院、廣西藝術學院、廣西民族大學、廣西科技大學等 

華僑中學，學校占地面積450畝。多年來在黨和政府的大力支持下，學校的教學設施日臻完善，實驗室和教學儀器配備達到國家二類標準；體育設施齊全，器材充足，圖書館藏書9萬多冊，訂有193種報刊、雜志，達到國家二類標準。2003年被評為自治區普通高中一級學校。擁有多媒體教室、音樂室、微機室、語音室、各學科實驗室等功能室以及校園網、IC消費系統、廣播系統等教學生活設施。2013年政府加大對該校的資金投入（預計投入3000萬元），新建設綜合教學樓、科技實驗樓、宿舍樓、室內球館不斷完善教學設施?，F有33個教學班，學生1424人，其中高中部13個班521人，初中部20個班903人，教職工121人，其中專任教師97人（高中部46人，初中部53人），中級職稱以上占93.60%，南寧市教育系統“教學骨干”8人
